System Suitcase does not move printer driver files from a source PC to a destination. Think about it. Do you really want an NT4 kernel mode driver on your new XP image? System Suitcase relies on the printer driver files being on the network, or native to the operating system. If you are running in an all Microsoft environment, the driver files are all ready to be deployed via Microsofts Point and Print. Just make sure you have the correct version of the drivers on the server for your operating system. In a Novell environment, you can set up point-and-print by simply looking at the properties of a printer object in network neighborhood. Bear in mind, this will require you to have administrative rights to the printer. |
